Overview
Camphor Basil is one of the herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for inflammation. Shallaki (Indian Frankincense/Salai Guggul) is the gum-resin obtained from Boswellia serrata. It is one of the most important anti-inflammatory drugs in Ayurveda. The boswellic acids in the resin have been extensively studied for their anti-arthritic properties. It is primarily used for joint disorders, musculoskeletal pain, and inflammatory conditions. It is astringent and sweet with cooling potency.
