Overview

Drona Pushpi is one of the herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for sinus & allergies. Dronapushpi (Leucas cephalotes) is an erect annual herb found commonly across India. Its name comes from the Drona-shaped (cup-shaped) inflorescence. The plant has strong aromatic smell. It is used in fevers, coughs, worm infestations, and inflammatory conditions. The juice of leaves is used as nasal drops for headache. It is widely used in folk medicine across India. The plant grows 1-3 feet tall with square stems and opposite leaves. Dose: Swarasa 2-4 tola. Verse: 271-274.
